Hey, kids! Let’s dissect some trailers!

Well, it’s all kicking off. Two trailers in the last couple of days, now – first of all with Digital Spy posting the Press Launch teaser, before a trailer from BBC America that rather bafflingly contains lots of goodies that we Brits haven’t had the chance to see yet also made its way online. Tom Baker’s Big Finish

Could Tom Baker soon be recording new audioplays for Big Finish? He seems to think so, and Big Finish are inclined to agree, although we probably won’t see anything until 2011 at the absolute earliest.

Am I the only person here getting a little excited about the possibility of a ruddy great big multi-Doctor story? Because the idea of the Fourth Doctor and the Eighth Doctor having actual interaction gives me the vapours.

We’ve been lucky over the last five years that some truly excellent writers (and some dodgy ones, but let’s not concern ourselves with those right now) have been thrust in our direction by Russell T. and The Grand Moff. But Doctor Who fans are ravenous blood-sucking monsters, always wanting more . . . more . . . MORE – and so while we might be happy with the likes of Cornell and Gatiss and Shearman and Whithouse and so on, I’m sure we’ve each of us got our ideas about writers out there that we think would do a tip-top spiffing job if ever asked to come up with an episode or two.
