No, don’t worry, Peter Kay isn’t returning, but this isn’t much better. Guests stars are all fine and well, but… James Corden? Really?
Going on the fact the episode 7 and 11 block started filming today, it’s safe to assume he’ll be in one of those which seem to be Amy and Doctor-lites. You won’t have to delve too far into the fiery pits of Gallifrey Base to see which of those episode he’s likely to be in and in what capacity, but it’s an episode I actually really like the sound of, which is a bit of a miracle given that its writer, Gareth Roberts, is even shitter than James shitting Corden.
Still, good to see The Sun’s resident Photoshop ‘artist’ at the very top of their game.

Never seen Gavin & Stacey, don’t like his sketch show and he’s fecking annoying on panel shows. But I heartily recommend the marvelous film adapatation of Alan Bennett’s The History Boys (I know at first glance it may look twee…trust me it’s not); Corden is great in it, very funny, so with the right material I’m sure he can deliver a fine performance. Just avoid that weeks Confidential. Lest we not forget the lessons learned from the scandal surrounding the casting of an actress by the name Catherine of Tate.

I like Gavin and Stacey. Rob Brydon is by far the best thing in it, but Corden’s character’s fine too (most of the time). But he was pretty annoying on Buzzcocks (probably last series’ worst guest host) and unwatchably annoying on that sketch show.
I haven’t seen The History Boys, but I caught a bit of it when it was on a few months ago and was surprised to see him in it.

That photoshopped James Corden makes him look a bit like Peter Gabriel. Peter Gabriel holding a big glowy orb.
